When is the best time to brush your teeth?
Most of the people I know say you should brush your teeth in the morning and at night before you go to bed. Is that really the best time? What if you do not sleep much the time between night and morning may only be 4 – 5 hours so that in the morning you have a long time different before you may brush again. I do not know if that seems like the best thing to do in that case. Also do we only brush for 2 minutes? everyone say we need to brush for only 2 minutes. Is that true what do you think?

I would agree with you that for the most part we are told to brush our teeth in the morning and before we go to sleep at night. For me however I brush after I have my breakfast, and after I have my dinner.
I do that because I do not like knowing that food partials may still be on my teeth after eating. Leaving them there until I brush at night does not make much sense for me. I will even brush after having lunch when ever possible.

I brush after breakfast unless I having a late breakfast like on a weekend or something then I will brush sooner. However when I was a kid I always had to brush before breakfast after taking my shower. I think that was just faster and easier for my mom. Well when you have three kids going to school, one husband heading off to work, and only one bathroom you had very limited time in there to get everything done. So I would say brushing time may very depending on your household needs.

Brushing twice a day in the morning and at night for two minutes is only the required minimal time suggested. You certainly can brush more or for a long time frame.
I brush after every meal that is at least three times. Some times more if I feel it is needed. I normal take about three to four minutes to brush. That is just me. However I can say that I have never had a cavity in any of my adult teeth. So I must be doing something right.

It does not really mater when you brush your teeth, just as long as you do brush. It may be better to brush your teeth after eating, but sometimes life is not conducive in letting us do so.
Try and keep in mind that for good dental health care you need to do more the just brush. You would also want to floss to get food between your teeth your brush can not get to. Use mouthwash to help fight germs as well as risen away debris. If you add in time for doing those two things you are probably taking much longer then just two minutes to clean your teeth.
Even after all of this you still may want to see your dentist at least once every six months as recommend.
