Can a 25 year old man still have baby teeth?
Hi I just got back from the dentist office for a check up and cleaning. I have not been to the dentist like forever but I just got dental insurance though my job and thought I should have my teeth checked out even though I have no problems with them.
The dentist was a pretty cool guy. He said I was really lucky that I had no cavities and my gums are in good shape since I told him how long it has been since I seen a dentist. He told me that now that I have insurance I need to come in every six months. He also told me I have two baby teeth in the back so I have to make sure I floss really well back there because I did have some tarter on them.
Here is my question. I thought I lost all my baby teeth by now. How do I still have two in the back? He said they were fine and they did not show signs of being loose but why do I not have my adult teeth? Is the dentist right about them being baby teeth?

Yes you can still have baby teeth as and adult if adult teeth never developed to replace them. It has been know to happen though not to often.
Just make sure you take care of them like your dentist advises. However, having baby teeth at twenty five is no real big deal do not let it bug you.

David, I am 30 and have for back molars that never got their adult teeth. Therefore I too still have s few baby teeth left. I never had any problems with them and my teeth look fine. I do not think it is so weird it just happens sometimes.
