Dental Insurance, Here in the US for only two years
I am going to be here in NY going to school for two years. Since I am not going to be staying in the US after my schooling is done I am not sure if I can get dental insurance. I do not know what is needed for me to get dental insurance but would like to have some of my teeth issued fixed before I leave in two years. What can you suggest for me?

You would more then likely want to look an an dental HMO and or a dental discount plan since they do not normally have any waiting periods.
You do not want dental insurance plans with long term waiting periods since you are not planing on staying for an extended time period.

Well if you do get a PPO dental insurance know the limitations before buying. Two years is long enough to get most of your dental services done even with those plans that have waiting periods.
Though you may be better off with an dental HMO since they normally do not have waiting periods of if they do they are much shorter time period. What type of plan you get will depend on what dental services you may need.
My best advise is just read though any plan and know what it is you are buying into. Doing that will save you trouble and confusion in the end.

Well I hope you enjoy your time in the US while you are here. If you already know what dentist you may wish to go to then find out what plans they maybe a part of. That way you can look for though dental plans.
Otherwise I to would get an dental HMO insurance plan. You need to choose a dentist in their network. With an HMO plan your dental cost are laid out for you so you do not have to worry about filing claims.
