Posted on Aug. 31st 2009 by Caroline Jackey in Dental Fear, Dental Help, Extractions No Comments »

Please do not be scared. The dentist will make it so that you do not have pain though the extraction process. Although going to sleep may be a choice make sure your dentist does that. Also if cost is a factor keep in mind going to sleep may cost more. So make sure you know what are the cost factors are.  If you have any insurance make sure to check if you would be covered.

I am getting braces do they make you look weird?

Posted on Aug. 31st 2009 by Benson Jeffys in Braces, Dental Help No Comments »

No braces do not make you look weird. What they will do is correct the reasons you need them in the first place. Making your smile it best. Where you get them depends on what you are having them for. Do no worry so much about how they will look. Be happy that you are lucky enough to have them in the first place

I will be getting a tooth pulled.

Posted on Aug. 31st 2009 by Kay Belson in Dental Help, Extractions No Comments »

Healing is different with each person. Generally speaking as far a having any pain after the extraction you should feel better in a few days.  Just make sure you follow the after care instructions to keep it clean and to heal faster. My friend had 6 teeth pulled at one time and was feeling fine in about 4 days. She is still healing so that has been about two weeks so far but she is healing fine and doing well.

Whiting treatment is safe and but generally speaking the main side effect is tooth  sensitivity, but that is short term and normally stops when the treatment is over. Getting your whiting treatment done by a dentist will also help in the effectiveness of your treatment.

Please help I am confused on dental insurance

Posted on Aug. 28th 2009 by Kay Belson in Dental Help, Dental Insurance, Dental Plans No Comments »

I could answer your question better if I knew what state you were in. With that being and not know what is available to you insurance wise. You may want to look into a dental discount plan. They are straight forward you will get about a 20% discount off the cost of braces at their provides. Since they are in most state you should not have any problems finding them. I however included a link for you if you want to check it out.

How can I reduce swelling after wisdom teeth extraction?

Posted on Aug. 28th 2009 by Troy Hilbert in Dental Help, Extractions No Comments »

The first two day or so use ice packs.  A good tip is also using frozen vegetables like peas since they shape to your face better.  After the first few days they use a heat pack.  you can do this with a heating on low or warming up a damp towel in the microwave.

Bad Breath – What are the Natural Treatments?

Having bad breath is a common complaint that afflicts many people. It is caused by the presence of bacteria in the oral cavity. Bacterial growth can occur due to many reasons, and in many places that may cause a foul odor to emanate from your mouth. Usually the most common reason is infrequent brushing leading to bacterial decomposition of leftover food particles in your mouth and in between your teeth.

I have pain from veneers, another dentist wants to take them off/ what to do?

Posted on Aug. 27th 2009 by Andrew Gollab in Cosmetic, Dental Help No Comments »

Here is what I think: You need to sit down with the dentist that is advising you to remove the veneers and ask him/her

1) Why does he think the current veneers are making your gums bleed and be in pain? I think it is important for you to understand why this is currently  happening to you.  And just how is  getting new ones going to fix the problem?

Full Dental Implant – What are they?

As the name suggests this is an implant that will replace all the teeth you have. More invasive than a single tooth replacement this procedure will require more than one trip to the dentist.
