Question about wisdom teeth.
I am going on 19 I have not been to the dentist in about a year but I have questions about wisdom teeth. My friend and people I know have already gotten their wisdom teeth out. They say that they had pain because of their wisdom teeth and so that was why they needed to be removed. I have no pain and do not see any wisdoms teeth coming in but people tell me I still could have them impacted and should have them removed.
Is it posible to have your wisdom teeth removed if you do not feel pain? I am not even sure I have them yet, but now I am worried about them some how messing up my other teeth. Please any advise or information about wisdom teeth would be helpful.

No you may not have to remove your wisdom teeth. There are people that never get their wisdom teeth. For other people they have enough room in their mouth for their wisdom teeth to come in normally.
Some people may have pain from their wisdom teeth when the wisdom teeth partially erupts and bacteria and food partials get between the tooth and gum or underneath the gums. Since this area can be hard to clean by brushing and flossing you can start to get a infection.
Since you stated you are not in pain and you are not sure if you have your wisdoms teeth or if there will be any issues with them. I would suggest that you may want to talk to your dentist.
You said it as been about a year so when you go in for your check up they may do X-rays. Address this issue with your dentist he/she can advise you on whether on not you need to have anything done.
