Help me, I want braces.
I have a very slight overbite. The dentist tells my parents that I do not really need braces for it, since it is very slight and not noticeable. However I know about it and what it fixed. My teeth are straight and other then the overbite they are fine. I can not believe that the dentist would advise my parents that I do not need to have braces. Now how can I convince them otherwise.

You should look into the cost of having braces. Even with dental insurance or a dental plan, braces are still costly. You wanting to have them just to have them is not really being fair to your parents. Unless you plain to pay for the braces yourself. If not I would advise letting it go for now. Wait until you can afford to get them instead of making your parents pay for something you do not need.
