Question about my veneer.
I had veneers put on a few of my frount teeth about three years ago. One of them came off just the other day. My question is the veneer it self looked ok. It did not seem broke or chiped. Can the dentist just use that same veneer and put it back on my tooth? They are not cheap and my dental insurance did not cover me when I had them put on the frist time. I would not like to have to pay for a new one. Also my tooth that had the veneer did not look so great. do I have to worry about it braking or getting any cavities? Like to know what other people think before I ask my dentist about this. I am worried about asking a stupid question.

Well I would think that if the veneer just fell off and has no damage a dentist should be able to put it back on. Why would you need to pay for a new one if your old one is still fine. I say go ahead and ask your dentist about this. I do not think it is a bad question to ask.

Veneers are much like fake nails in how they are put on. The dentist has to grind down your tooth and make it ruff so that the veneer will adhere to your tooth. That may be why you think your tooth that had the veneer does not look right.
You should go to your dentist to have them either put back the old veneer or get a replacement. Your tooth is now more open to tooth decade since the enamel has be removed.
