Braces, what can’t you eat?
I will be getting braces by the end of the month and I know that I will probably have some soreness. At least that has been what was told to me by the orthodontic. So I know what to eat that will not hurt as much, but what I was wondering was what I should not eat with braces. I forgot to ask that question when I was there. Any information about that would be helpful.

Stay away from gum and any chew candy like Now or Latter’s. Other then that you should be able to eat just about anything you want.

You can eat almost anything you want. However, try to keep away from things like gum and gummies, chewy candy and any food that will get stuck in your braces. Otherwise you are left having to brush and pick out the junk that is stuck in your braces.

I would advise not eating corn on the cob. At least when you can not brush right away.

You can eat any thing you want to, but I would keep in mind that any food you eat is going to get between your braces. I would suggest keeping a small tooth brush and travel size toothpaste with you at all times. Also you will need to floss more often. You can use a special floss pick for braces like Platypus Flosser or really any floss would do as long as you floss.
