I have a dental appointment, and I am not feeling well.
I have this dental appointment for a deep cleaning that I really need to go to. My dentist has been telling me I should have this done but I have been putting him off. I finally make a appointment to have a deep cleaning for tomorrow and now I am really sick. I am not sick because I have the appointment I just have the flu, it all just bad timing. I was just wondering if I should still keep my dental appointment. Would it be okay? I am concerned that the dentist will think I am making it up, but if I go sick will he be upset with me? Not sure what to do.

Gabby,
I think that for the most part the dentist would prefer you to change your appointment date to a day you are feeling better. They have not only themselves but the other patients in the office to worry about.

I guess you could go to your dental appointment if you are feeling up to it. I do not think the dentist would be upset with you for changing the appointment date. He may be a little annoyed if you go in sick.

Just call your dental office. See what they say about keeping your appointment or if they would rather you change to a different date. This way you show them that you are willing to come in as appointed but it gives them the chance to change your dental appointment if necessary.
