Going on 24 just now getting braces

I just had a free orthodontic consult where I were I was told in order to fix my teeth I would need to have braces. They are saying that at least for the front teeth I can have the clear ceramic braces and for the rest it would be metal. This is a little better choice for me since I am in college and do not want a mouth full of metal.
I want to fix my teeth so I will more the likely proceed with having the braces. I am looking for your opinion on what you think about a 24 year old getting braces. I am worry about this to some degree so am I making to much of it.

I would not let something like that even worry you. Having braces at any age is no big deal. Besides, you are going to college not preschool.

I think you will look fine. There are many adults that need braces and are having them done later in life. My good friend just got braces at 30. Her parents could never afford for her to have them when she was little. She is just so happy having them now because she know how great her teeth are going to be afterwords.

I am going on 27 and will also getting braces. My friend that has them at 26 really helped me make my decision. Like you I had my worries about looking funny with them on at such a old ages.
My friend got hers and she had people telling her how cute she looked in them. I realized that I was just being silly about not fixing my teeth over how they may look. After all it is not like my overbite looks so cute now.
Get them I do not think you will notice any negative looks or comments from your peers. At least not from anyone that matters.

Who ever said braces are just for kids anyway? I think it is sexy that you care enough to have your teeth fixed. Just make sure you brush well and that you do not have food bits in them when you talk to people. That would be my only advise.
