Okay so I have braces on and although I know I need to brush better. Is there anyway of getting rid of tartar if you have braces on now? I am still worried about my teeth looking funny when my braces come off. I will start brushing better like I should will that get off tartar that is on my teeth now? You want to brush and floss at least twice a day. I do both right after eating breakfast and dinner. You can use tartar control toothpaste as well as tartar control mouthwash.
It dose not matter if you have braces or not if you take good care of your teeth you should have very little tartar buildup if any.

Matt you take the same kind of care with your teeth regardless of whether or not you have braces. Now flossing can be a pain with braces so ask you orthodontist for a flossing pick.
The office should have these but if not you should also be able to get them at your local drug store.
