Dentist and smoking can they tell
Will my dentist know.
Okay so I was only smoking since August and really even then I would only smoke about twice a week when I was hanging out at my friend’s house. He was a smoker and I wanted him to like me so I just went along with it. Okay I know that was stupid but don’t blame my friend he never made me do it or even asked me to smoke with him. I just did it on my own.
I stop smoking two days ago when my friend asked me why I was smoking since I never did before. He said it bother him to think I was only smoking for him. That when I found out that he was trying to quit and thought it was stupid for me to start. Okay so it was stupid and I stop but now I have a dental appointment and I am worried that the dentist will know that I was smoking and say something to my mom.
I am only 16 and I do not want my mom getting up set with me. Knowing her she would blame it on my friend. It was not his fault I was stupid and just wanted to fit in. Do you think the dentist will be able to tell and if so can I stop him from telling my mom?

If you have stop smoking and have been a brushing your teeth twice a day, I do not think you will need to worry about the dentist noticing.
The good thing is that you learn a very important lesson that you do not need to do what your friends do just to be their friend.

It did not sound like you smoked all that much. Since you stated you quite so you should be fine. Besides at 16 it is not like your mom is sitting with you when you have your teeth cleaned.
If the dentist says anything about you smoking just say no. It true if you want you are saying is correct and you have stopped.
