Tooth Extraction and sore gums
Four days ago I had to have a tooth removed that was in the back. That went well, but I am still having pain in my gums in that area. Should I still be feeling so much pain whenever there is pressure near the extraction? The hole is closing up well so I am just wondering why I am still in pain when it seems to be healing. I called and asked the dentist and was told to give it a few weeks. Should it take that long?

Yes it can take a while for your gums to fully heal. It has only been four days. I had a tooth pulled and my gums in the extraction site hurt for about two weeks. Nothing that Advile did not help me with though.
