Broken Tooth needs to be fixed
Which should I do, fix my tooth or fix my car?
I am having really hard money times. I do not have enough to go around. I guess many people are in the same boat as me there. I have a car that needs repairs of at least $600.00. which would get the care back up and running good enough to pass smog. However, more repairs would need to be done latter for maintenance.
I have a broken front tooth, I am told by my dentist to fix and crown the tooth would be around $650.00. So you can see cost wise they are about the same. I however, can only afford to do one of these choices. I am not sure where the money would be better spent. Advise please

As much as I would normally always say fix your teeth to anyone that asked. However, in your case I would say it depends on the importance your car is to you in your life.
If you need your car to get back and forth to work then it just seems to me that the car would be more important. You need to work to pay bills and you need a car to get you to work.
If you do not feel that having a car will effect how you live and can afford to go without it then fix your teeth.
Best of luck to you in taking care of both issues in a timely manor.

I can understand tight money issues. I have felt that same issue as well. I would start off asking if you have dental insurance. That seems like a lot of money to fix a tooth and to have a crown unless you do not have any insurance.
I would suggest getting a low cost dental insurance or a dental discount plan if you do not have one in force. This will help reduce your dental cost and would be a better value to you in the long run.
As far as your car. Is it the only car you have? Letting the registration expire and then getting if fix latter will only add additional cost when you go to re register your vehicle. May be think about doing the lest amount of work to your car just to get it to past smog.
Either way I see it both are important. Try seeing if either the car repair place or the dentist will let you make payments. You may have better luck getting a payment plan with a dentist then a car repair place but it can not hurt to ask both.
