Bad Breath what can I do about it
Help I have bad breath
I am so upset about this issue. I have been working really are with getting in shape and staying fit and healthy. I have lost 40 pounds and doing well. However now I am getting bad breath that I never had before. I had this girl say that I may be losing weigh but that my breath is still keeping people away.
This is not funny to me. I brush and floss like I should at least twice a day. I even started chewing sugar free gum to try and control any oders. Any advise would be help full. Do I go to a dentist about bad breath?

Do not feel bad about what you are going though. Your bad breath problems can be based on a few things. Try figuring out what the cause is so that you can correct the issue.
First you stated that you did not have bad breath before you went on your diet. Losing weight is great and is some cases necessary. With that said I would look at the foods you are now eating.
Example: If you are eating more fish, cottage cheese or diet shakes all of which may be good for your diet, is sometimes really bad for your breath. If you are eating healthier foods, your body still needs time to adjust to the change. Therefore also causing you to have bad breath.
Another thing to look at if you are taking Vitamins that you did not take before, some vitamins will also cause bad breath. Things like Fish oil is great for you skin, but man take it for a week and you have dead fish breath.
If you can rule out the diet and what you are consuming, then I would suggest to see a dentist. Gingivitis can also make your breath smell, a dentist can check for that.

Great job on losing weight. That girl that would make a comment to you about your breath is just jellos of you. Do not let people like that bring you down. They are not even worth your time.
As far as your breath, yes I would suggest going to the dentist to see if you have any tooth decay or the on set of gingivitis. Both of which can make your breath smell.

Do not get to upset that it stops you from doing what is right for you and your health. I would just try and find the reason to the bad breath issue you are now having.
One way is by going to the dentist. You may just have a new issue with your teeth, that you did not have before. If so it would have nothing to do with your weigh loss.
Tooth decay (cavity)and or gum disease (gingivitis). Both can cause a person to have bad breath. I would start there and see if you can rule them out as a reason for your bad breath.
