Six cavities in six months
Too many cavities for me to believe
I just got back from my dentist. I went in for my cleaning and was told I have six cavities. I was just at the dentist for one cavity to be filled six months ago. Now he is telling me I have six new cavities. What up? I brush my teeth twice a day and floss okay not every day but I do floss at least every other. Is it possible to get six new cavities in only six months. I feel as if I am being taken a little. Should I get a second opinion?

Well first yes it is always possible that one could get six cavities in only six months. I guess it would depend on your teeth and what you were eating and how good you were really cleaning your teeth.
However I would always suggest that if you feel like you are being taken for a ride then do get a second opinion. It is well worth the extra cost to have peace of mind.

Well if you asking about getting a second opinion, if you feel like your dentist is not honest or is trying to pad his pockets then yes get a second opinion.
However I do not think I is unheard of that you could have six cavities in six months. It really does not take long for a cavity to develop. You many not be brushing as good as you think you are. You also need to floss every day not every other.
