		<description>Some would say that gold filling or gold was being use on ones teeth since ancient Egypt.  

However I would say that gold really started being used 1800 when lead was found out to be harmful to people. Although gold at the time was indeed better then lead it still took time for it to be widely used. Mostly do to lack of dental training and how fast information traveled at that time.</description>
