Chewing gum with braces
Is it okay to chew sugar free gum with braces?
I will be getting braces soon. One of the things that I do as a habit is chew chewing gum. Will I need to give that up all together? Or can I continue chewing gum as long as it is sugar free? I would hate to not be able to chew gum at all any one know?

I have been told that chewing sugar free gum does not stick to your braces. I still however advise you to ask your orthodontic dentist to be sure

I use to chew gum all the time with my braces. I never had any problems with it sticking to them. Just do not chew gum with a retainer. Gum will stick to your retainer and it is a pain to clean afterwords
