Bulimia and tooth decay
Just how does being a bulimic effect your teeth
I have heard that being bulimic will damage your teeth and make them rot out of your mouth. I am not bulimic so please do not worry about that I would just like to know who does being one make your teeth rot? I mean if you brush right after would not that prevent your teeth from getting damaged?

No brushing right afterwords may slow down the process of a bulimic having tooth decay but will not stop it. When a bulimic forces themselves to throw up they are not just throwing up food but stomach acids. It is the stomach acid that destroys the enamel on their teeth. Without tooth enamel it exposes their teeth to tooth decay.
However let me state for the record. If you are a bulimic or know someone that is then you need to get help for yourself or for that person you know.
There are way bigger issues then bad teeth in regards to being bulimic.

You may think that brushing your teeth right after would work but it does not. Many bulimics brush their teeth right after throwing up as a way of hiding what they are doing. Not so much that they are worried about their teeth, but they know that their breath would have a bad odor if they did not brush afterwords.
Like the last reply stated if you know someone that is bulimic then teeth is really the last thing that person needs to worry about. There are very serious health issues that come with being bulimic even death.
