Need dental help
Fell asleep with gum in my mouth
Okay will I was up late last night studying for a test. I fell to sleep with gum in my mouth. When I woke up my mouth was very sore. I notice that it seems like my gums are a little swollen and my jaw and teeth kind of hurt. I never had teeth problems until now. What can I do for the pain? Should I worry that I have cavities now because of the gum?

I would not worry to much unless the pain does not go away. Your gums are just irritated because of the chewing gum and your jaw may hurt because you may have been grinding down since you had the gum in your mouth.
I would not think you could get a cavity that fast over a piece of gum. You would have chew most of the sugar out well before you fell asleep.

Well unless your gums are back to normal by the next day I would make an appointment to see your dentist. It could have nothing to due with the gum being left in your mouth, and be a completely different issue.
