Bleeding gum pain, No dental insurance
My gums really hurt and I do not have dental Insurance
So about two weeks ago I got a soft toothbrush and toothpaste with whiting. Now my gums are really sore and they are bleeding. I did not worry so much at first since I started wearing my retainer again that I had a while back. I figured since it had been a while since I wore my retainer last that may be way my gums hurt now.
However, it is two weeks latter and my gums still hurt. I do not have dental insurance so going to the dentist is out right now. I am not sure what to do to stop my gum pain.

Going to the dentist would still be the wisest thing to do. You may have gum disease that needs to be address. But if you do not want to go then try washing your mouth out with a strong mouth wash two to three times a day. That may help.

Bleeding hurting gums not a good sign. I am not sure if it is your retainer that is hurting your gums or not. However after two weeks I would think you would know if it is the retainer gutting or rubbing your gums to make the sore.
I would see if your retainer is adjusted right. If it has been a long while since you last had it in maybe your teeth shifted making the fix not correct therefore hurting your gums.

Well it sound like you have not been wearing your retainers correctly up to this point. Try taking your retainer out for a few days to see if your gums go back to normal. That would help you to determine if your hurting gums have anything to do with the retainer or not.

If the other suggestion above fails you then try rubbing Orajel. Orajel will at least numb your gums and help with the pain. It will not fix the problem but control the pain until you go to the dentist.
