Braces for Adults
My sister has crooked and gaped teeth. She is twenty-five. I am trying to help her find information about braces. She is worried she is too old. I explained to her that there is no age limit on having braces. So I got her to at least look into it. What I need is any information on the different types of braces so I can give that to her. She will be seeing a dentist about braces in three weeks but needs to know what to ask and so she can be prepared.

These days more adults are getting braces. In fact, about 25% of all people with braces are adults. But not all braces are the same. There are traditional braces (the ones with the colored rubber bands) and more advanced braces that are more comfortable and speed treatment. I would recommend you look into all the options available, and definitely check out http://www.damonbraces.com and http://www.insigniasmile.com. Quite a few doctors use the Damon System, so it will be easy to find a doctor who uses that system for treatment. Good luck!
