I bought a night guard at my local drug store only a few days ago. I have been grinding my teeth at night when I sleep so I was trying to protect my teeth. The problem is I guess I bit down too hard and the platic broke. Is there a way to if it? Or if I have to buy another one a way to avoid braking it again?

I just had my braces removed two day ago. Now my gums are swelling, red and sore. What can I do to make them go back to normal? I been brushing like normal two to three times and I do floss daily. Not sure why they are inflamed right now right after removing my braces.

I do not know what is wrong with my teeth
As a child I was prone to week teeth and got cavities pretty easy. So I had to make sure I brush very well and flossed all the time. The problem now is that I just started to notice these hair line cracks in my front top teeth. These cracks seem to be getting bigger to the point that my husband though my teeth were dirty.

Individual dental insurance is probably one of the most widely adopted private insurance types. Our individual dental insurance plans provide you with the coverage you need to promote good dental health. Since obtaining an individual dental insurance plan is very affordable, many people choose to take responsibility for that coverage either as a stand-alone policy or as a supplement to their group dental coverage.

I do not understand why I have so much teeth problems. I take excellent care of my teeth. I do every thing right and above. I brush after every meal and snack so that mean I brush at least four times a day. I also floss at least that many times a day as well. I use mouthwash with germ killing, so I just do not get it.

I had my wisdom teeth pulled over two years ago. I have been fine until the last two days. I have a really bad pain in the back were one of my wisdom tooth use to be. I guess on the gum in the back behind my last molar. It is not the tooth hurting it is the gum area where my wisdom tooth would have been. why is it hurting me now? What can I do for the pain?

I have top and bottom braces on for over a year now. My bottom teeth are a little small so it it hard to clean the teeth on the bottom and keep them white. They are starting to look yellow and my orthodontic dentist is giving me a hard time about cleaning my teeth. I brush two to three times a day depending on what I eat. But my teeth on the bottom still looks yellow no matter how much I brush. Is there a way to whiten my teeth on the bottom? I was going to use baking soda but was told not to because it can remove the bracket glue. So what can I use that is easy and will help whiten up my teeth?

I was given a prescription toothpaste from my dentist back in 2006. I had gotten two tubes of paste I used one of the tubes of toothpaste but missed placed the other until now. I would like to use it but it expired back in 2008. I do not want to use it if it will make me sick. Since this toothpaste at the time cost me over 20.00 a tube I hate to just toss it. What do you think? Is it okay to use?

Today I went to a dental clinic for low income people to have some dental work done. The problem I was having was with one of my back molars. They did a set of X-rays and the thing they put in your mouth was very nasty tasting. I never had that happen before with X-rays so I said something about it. She said they it was the chemicals they are soak in. I just not sure about that answer it was very nasty and it not like I never been to the dentist to know better. I am worried now about getting work done there. Maybe they are not as clean since they are a low income dental clinic. Should I go to a regular dentist even though it would cost me a lot more to get the work I need done. Or do you think it is safe and I am just to worried over it?

I have been thinking about getting my teeth professional whiten by my mom dentist that will cost me when all is done around $250.00 since my insurance will not cover for whiten treatment. My teeth have been stain from years of past smoking. I never wanted to do anything before except us whiten strips now and then since I still smoke and knew the stains would only come back.

Does having good teeth really make you more attractive?
I have a really nice shape and can fit into most anything I want to wear. I am thin and fit. I really try and take good care of myself. The one thing I do not like about me is that I have really bad teeth. I do not know why but I was not born with strong teeth so I get cavities really easy. My teeth also look kind of small and the one in the back look dark.

Would having corrective surgery for an under bite be considered a cosmetic procedure? I have pretty good dental insurance though my job. However they do not cover out for cosmetic procedures. I have an under bite issue that has been bothering me for a while now and would like it fixed. I can not afford to have the corrective surgery for my under bite if the insurance I have considers it a cosmetic procedure.

I just had my braces put on yesterday and I was not paying any attention when the girl was telling me how to brush and floss. I was in a mood about having to have braces so at the time I did not care. Now I would like to know if there is a special way I am to brush my teeth with braces on? I am finding it hard as it is to floss with the dumb things on my teeth. Do I have to brush differently to?

I think my friend is too much and needs help. Really she is my best friend but is always brushing and flossing her teeth after very little thing. The brushing is not so bad because she has to do that in a rest room. She will brush after eating anything and then run to the rest room to brush. Even if the rest room is dirty she will still brush her teeth.

I am 25 and need to get braces. I do not really care if they are metal or not as long as a dental insurance or plan will help me with the cost. My current plan does not cover for braces. I can not cancel that plan because that is what I get though my job. It is great for every thing else so I am really not complaining. I am just not finding any plan that does cover for adult braces only for children up to 19. Feeling left out and need help please.

What is the difference between a dentist and a dental hygienist? My mom is going to a dentist but he seems to always have his dental hygienist do all the work. His dental hygienist is nice and cleans my mom teeth but the dentist does not seem to do much of anything at all. So what is the deal with that?
