Tooth pain after filling
My mom just had a filling done yesterday and her tooth still hurts her. I do not understand why she should be in any pain. When I got a filling done I was in no pain and the same with some other people I have talked to. Did the dentist do something wrong? She been going to the same dentist now for well over ten years and never had such a problem. However she is having pain issues with the tooth he did a filling on. Should she go back to the dentist and have him fix the tooth. Or is it something that will pass if she waits it out?

Since you stated your mom has been going to the same dentist for over ten years without any problems, why not give that dentist a chance to see if anything is wrong. Have her go back in let the dentist know she is still having some pain with that tooth. If it was anything he did wrong then he should fix the problem at not cost to your mom.

Sometimes you can have pain after a filling just because your mouth was open for an extended time. So what is hurting is your jaw and not so much the tooth it self. If she is still bother by the tooth have her go back in to see the dentist. Like the last replied said it seems like she has a good dentist so he should be able to fix any problems.

The dentist may have put the filling out a little to high and when she is biting down she is feeling the pressure of the filling. This sometimes can work it self out but I would have a dentist check it out. If that is the case it is also a quick fit too.
