I have been trying to help my dad look into having dental implants. He is not one for going on line and getting any information. So the information he has right now is only saying how great implants are and the process of getting one put in. I want him to know the full facts about implants. I am not trying to talk him out of them only want him to know possible issues they may have say compared to get a dental bridge put in. So information about the possible problems and or complications to implants would be helpful.

First your dad would need to have X-rays to determine if he has enough bone to have dental implants. If your dad as too much bone deterioration he may not be able to even have implants. Or at that point he may need a bone graft before having the implants.
That right there may be a deciding factor for him. Some times even when this is done the implants just do not take right and you can have healing problems. My mom’s good friend had to have her implants taken out and new one put back in. Even now though she like the way they look. They still give her problems.
I too am not trying to talk you or anyone out of implants jut make sure you have a great dentist that know what they are doing and know the pros and cons to implants.
