Tooth pain, Toothache after having dental work
I went to the dentist about three days ago for a deep cleaning that they said was needed since I have not been to the dentist prior to that in about three years. So okay I get the deep cleaning that they said I needed and now my jaw still is sore and my teeth/gums hurt me some even three days later. Should I still be in pain by them doing a deep cleaning? I mean I was not in pain before I let them do this deep cleaning. Does not seem right to me. Any one have a deep cleaning before and had pain afterwords? If so how long did the pain last?

Well yes deep cleanings can hurt during and a few days after because they had to clean your tooth root. Your jaw could hurt just because you had to have it open for an extended period of time and your gums are just sore do to the cleaning.
Try rinsing your mouth out at least twice a day with warm salt water. If you are still hurting in a day or two call the dentist up and see what they will advise you.
