Brushing and flossing habbits
I think my friend is too much and needs help. Really she is my best friend but is always brushing and flossing her teeth after very little thing. The brushing is not so bad because she has to do that in a rest room. She will brush after eating anything and then run to the rest room to brush. Even if the rest room is dirty she will still brush her teeth.
It is the flossing she will floss right in front of you. While you are eating or talking to her. She had to be told by our teacher more then once to stop flossing in class and to pay attention. I asked her why she has to do that so much. That you only need to brush twice and floss once a day.
She is well I do not want bad teeth like my mom. That her mom had to have all her teeth pulled out by the time she was 26. I am like whatever but I do not want you doing it in front of me while we hang out.
My question is how much times it too many times. I though it I could prove to her she that brushing and flossing too much could hurt her teeth too that it may help her slow down with doing it every 15 minutes of the day.

It seems like it has become a habit for her to brush and floss like she does. That being said it could be hard for her to brake no matter what someone tells her.
The main problem with excessive amount of brushing is that she could over time wear down her tooth enamel. Causing her teeth to be open to tooth decay easier. She would really have to be brushing a lot for that to happen.
I would just tell her that it bugs you that she will flosses in front of you while you are out. That if she needs to floss like that to take it to the rest room too.

I do not know if you can stop her from doing what she is doing. I would tell her beyond her obsessive need to brush and floss which you can not control she should at least have some respect not to floss her teeth in front of you.
That it is rude to floss while you are eating or trying to talk to her.

Whats the big deal? I think you need to get over it. I would ratter have a friend that is clean and taking care of her teeth then one that has a yuck mouth. If you friend wants to brush after every meal there is nothing wrong with that.
The flossing at the table is a little rude and if it up set you so much just say something to her about that. Otherwise let it go.
