Corrective surgery for bite issued
Would having corrective surgery for an under bite be considered a cosmetic procedure? I have pretty good dental insurance though my job. However they do not cover out for cosmetic procedures. I have an under bite issue that has been bothering me for a while now and would like it fixed. I can not afford to have the corrective surgery for my under bite if the insurance I have considers it a cosmetic procedure.

Well have you tried calling you dental insurance company and finding out if it would be covered or not? I would start with them. I could guess and say that it does sound like a cosmetic procedure. However you would not know for sure without asking the company that would be making the decision.
