Professional Teeth Whitening Question
I have been thinking about getting my teeth professional whiten by my mom dentist that will cost me when all is done around $250.00 since my insurance will not cover for whiten treatment. My teeth have been stain from years of past smoking. I never wanted to do anything before except us whiten strips now and then since I still smoke and knew the stains would only come back.
Now since I have stop smoking for good ( Non-smoker for three years) I want to do something about my stained up teeth and whiten strips have not helped. I guess my question is that $250.00 sounds really high to me. Is 250.00 with in reason ? Or am I being quoted too high a cost? Please people that have had whiten done at the dentist is it worth the money? How much did it cost you to have the whiten treatment?

I think you should go to a different dentist for treatment. Not so much because of the X-ray thing tasting bad, but because you have a bad feeling about the office and getting work done there.
Even if they do good work you may feel that they are not just because of the first impression. Find a dental office you feel right in. I am sure there are other dental offices that you can feel better about.

It does not seem to high a price. I had my teeth whiten by the dentist and it cost me 200.00 by the time it was all done. It was the best 200.00 I spent though. My teeth were really white and as long as you take proper care of your teeth afterwords your teeth should stay white.

I had that happen to me once before at my dentist. I did not think to much about it however since my dentist does really good work and I never had any problems.
Do what you feel is best for you.
