How do you whiten your teeth when you have braces.
I have top and bottom braces on for over a year now. My bottom teeth are a little small so it it hard to clean the teeth on the bottom and keep them white. They are starting to look yellow and my orthodontic dentist is giving me a hard time about cleaning my teeth. I brush two to three times a day depending on what I eat. But my teeth on the bottom still looks yellow no matter how much I brush. Is there a way to whiten my teeth on the bottom? I was going to use baking soda but was told not to because it can remove the bracket glue. So what can I use that is easy and will help whiten up my teeth?

You really should not try and whiten your teeth when you have braces. Otherwise when you remove your braces you will still have two toned color teeth were you whiten.
I am sure your dentist just wants you to brush better. It is not about how much you brush but that you are brushing correctly. If you must use toothpaste with whiten to help the yellow color but to not over whiten your teeth.

Try flossing better. When I had braces the dentist would get on me too. I would brush twice to three times a day but without flossing. It was a pain to floss with braces on. So I did not floss like I should and had the same issues like you. I got better after a while and so did my teeth.

Ask your dentist if they have an dental floss pick for your braces. They do make special dental floss for braces that make it easier to floss.
If your dentist does not carry any that they can give you then check out your local drug store (Rite Aid, Walgreen, Savon etc.)

You could try using toothpaste with whitening. From my experience with whiten toothpaste it does help to whiten your teeth but it is a time process. Meaning it does not whiten over night.
I would stay away from hydrogen peroxide. If you have metal braces it may damage the metal. Baking soda is out since you know it will remove the glue. Do not try any Citruses like Lemon, Oranges for the same reason as the hydrogen peroxide it will eat at the metal in the braces.
Really if you want to do more then the toothpaste then ask your dentist on what you can do.
