I have been told that you should brush your dogs teeth. So I have been trying to brush is teeth with baking soda but he really does not like it. So can I use my Colgate. I mean if I use only a little would that be okay? Just wondering.

Hi, I am seventeen and will be working as a receptionist at a Dental office on the weekends and a few hours during the week. I would like to know how dental insurance is different from medical insurance. I was told that part of my job would be related to making follow up calls to the insurance companies regarding claims premium due. I know they are going to train me and I will not be doing that right off, but I would love to have information so I know what they are talking about.

My fourteen year old son had a appointment to see about getting braces at the orthodontic office. The dentist after looking at my son teeth said that he had two loose teeth and he could not put braces on while they are loose. I had him point them out to me and they are only a little loose but I do not understand why.

I just got back from a consult at the orthodontics. I was told by the dentist that my son would need to have five baby teeth pulled. Then he could get braces put on and they would straighten out his teeth as the adult teeth come in. He would then have straight adult teeth.

So I am looking to get an individual dental plan. I do not get dental offer to me at my job so I have to buy it on my own. I never had to buy insurance before so can I do so directly? How much does having to get dental insurance on your own cost? I know that when I did get it though a job it was pretty costly. Something like 60.00 a month and my share of cost was 20.00 of it.

Now that I got all my insurance information for my health and dental I notice that my Co-pay for the health is only 15.00 an office visit. However on my dental it is 20.00 per office visit at a general dentist and 35.00 at any specialist.

I am having to have two crowns done with a filling here and there. My dentist told me I should not keep putting it off or I will need to get a root canal which will only cost more money. Okay so he scared me some about the work I need. Right now I do not have dental insurance. Is there any dental insurance plans, I can get which would be okay with me knowing I need this dental work done?

TMJ and dealing with a Bite Splint
I am currently being treated for Temporomandibular joint syndrome or other wise referred to as TMJ. I have been fitted with a bite splint that I have to wear at night. This helps keep me from grinding my teeth while I sleep. Or at least that is want I am told. It is more like I am not grinding my teeth at night because I can not sleep with the bite splint in my mouth.
