Advice needed for wisdom teeth extraction
I will be having my two top wisdom’s teeth removed Friday. I am nervous about getting them removed because I had a really bad experience with having the two bottom wisdom teeth removed. When I got those teeth remove my general dental said he could pull them. He got one out okay but the second one was a nightmare. It took him over an hour to pull it out in pieces.
I am now going to see an oral surgeon for the top two wisdom teeth. I know I should not have the same type of problem like before. I also will be asleep this time so that should really me get though the process much better. Knowing this I am still a little worried. I am looking for some good advise that will make me feel better about having the teeth pulled.

Well there is a big differences from going to a general dentist to a specialist. The oral surgeon will have the skills needed to remove your wisdom teeth will no pain to you. You will as you stated be asleep during the process.
Now you may have some pain afterword but that is normal. The dentist will normally give you a prescription for the pain only use as directed.

I so hear where you are coming from. I too had a very bad experience at a general dentist office that it put me off going to the dentist for two years.
I did not want to have the same experience with another dentist and really felt scared of going back. However, I had to go back to the dentist at some point. What I did was to make sure I found a dentist that was understanding to my needs.
I told my dentist about the bad experience I had. She really made me feel better. By my telling her that I was still worried about going to the dentist helped her be a little more thoughtful to my needs.
Doing the same may help you too. Good luck

You will not have any pain during the wisdom tooth extraction. However be prepared to have some pain afterwords. Your cheeks will be swollen too for about a week so do not let the upset you.
Make sure you follow your dentist after care instructions to the letter. It is important that you take care of the extraction site and to keep it clean for proper healing.
