Can having a wisdom tooth extraction make you sick afterwords.
I had both of my top wisdom teeth removed just yesterday. The surgery went well and I am recovering from the extractions. The thing is, I am now having a really bad cough that I did not have before the extractions where done.
I am taking antibiotics and Tylenol but only when the pain gets bad. Can they be the cause of my cough? Or is it possible that the dentist made me sick?

I do not think the dentist would have made you sick. The dentist normally wears a face mask. I also do not think the antibiotics or Tylenol as any thing to do with you being sick now. If anything they should help you.
No in my humble opinion you just got sick on your own. Timing could be bad but it happens. Just take care of yourself and get better. If you still feel bad in a few days go to the doctor and have it check out.

I doubt it very much. You may of had the starting of a cold before you even went in for the extractions. It just now that you are feeling it.
I agree with the last reply just take care of yourself so you can start to feel better.

Saying that the dentist was sick when he did your wisdom tooth extraction does not mean he would have made you sick. They will masks.
Even if he did make you sick I am not sure there is much you can do about it. The antibiotics and Tylenol would not make you sick either. I would let it go and just take care of yourself now.
