Want to whiten teeth after braces without the cost factor
My friend just had her braces removed. She wants to whiten her teeth up some since they got stained up a little while she had the braces on. Her mom will not to have her teeth whiten, nor will she get her whitening strips. Is there anything she could use as a house hold product that will help to whiten her teeth?

See if it is okay with her mother first but she could try baking soda. I hear that does help to whiten teeth. Also I would suggest trying toothpaste with whitening her mom may let her use that. Just make sure she asks her mom before doing anything.

Here is what I think. If her mom does not want her getting her teeth whiten or to use whitening strips, going behind her back for some household remedies may not be a good idea. I would make sure that you ask her first if it is okay.
With that said here is what I found for you on a prior post about home remedies:
1)Brushing with Lemon Juice
2)Brushing with Baking Soda
3)Brushing with Hydrogen Peroxide
4)Brushing with Salt
5)Rubbing Strawberries on your teeth then Brushing off.
6) Orange Peels
7) Banana Peels
All though the above may help whiten your teeth they can do damage as well. They contain sugar and acids and are abrasive, all of which can damaged your enamel that helps protects your teeth
I can understand with all that been said that many people can not afford to go to the dentist to whiten their teeth. I would advise if you are going to try any home remedy to understand that you run the risk of doing more damage to your teeth in the along run.
