I have dental insurance, still can not afford to have dental work done
What do you do when you have dental insurance but the cost of all the services you need still exceed what you can afford to spend. I need two root canals which will need to also have crowns, and four fillings. I have been putting off having the dental work I needed until I got dental insurance though my job.
Even with the insurance company, my part of the bill would come out to be over $1000.00. What do I do to get my teeth fixed? I do not have $1000.00 to spend. The fact is I have only about half them much money to spend on fixing my teeth. Any advise please

Try doing what is important first. Saving the additional dental work needed as you can afford to have it done. Just make sure you put aside money for the dental work so you can afford to do it in sections at a time.

It can be a little overwhelming when you have extensive dental work that is needed. Even with dental Insurance your cost can still exceed your budget.
Talk to your dentist find out what the dentist can suggest is most important that you have done now and what can wait until you can afford more dental work to be done.

I had the same thing happen to me once when I needed two root canals and two crowns. My dental insurance covered 50% of the cost but I was still left with a very large size bill.
What I did was work things out with the dentist. He took half from me as a down then I was able to pay the rest office in monthly payments. See if you can talk to your dentist about working out a payment plan. I find most dentist are willing to work with you if they known you.
If your dentist will not workout a payment plan then you may want to look into getting a payment plan though Advance care card or any other dental credit card that may be available to you.
