Dental pain possible allergic reaction
Hi I just went to the dentist to have a filling done. This is the first time I ever had a cavity so I can use your advise. Does anyone know or hear of someone having an allergic reaction to having a filling done? I been having really bad pain since I got back from my dentist. My teeth and jaw have be hurting. I was not in any pain before he did the filling.
My dentist stated that he had to put some antibiotic on teeth and gum. Could I be having a allergic reaction to the antibiotic he used? How do I stop this pain? Thanks for any help given to me.

Well anything is possible so I will not say no you could not be having some type of reaction. However I think what is more in the realm of possibility would be that you are just sore after having the filling take some Tylenol and relax for the day. Eat soft foods and see how you feel the next day.

Maybe just having your mouth open for a long period of time while the dentist was doing the filling hurt your jaw. My teeth hurt for like a day after I had a filling between the stress of having my mouth open for 30 minutes and the filling it self. I would rest for a day if you are serious hurting the next day call your dentist.

It is possible my mom had that happen to her where she was really sore for like a week afterwords. If you are still feeling bad or it get worse I would go to the doctors to make sure everything is okay. Why take any chances.
