I have dental insurance but it will not cover for my crown until another four months goes by. My crown fell off so I need to have it replaced. Can the dentist put back my crown that fell off until my waiting period is over for me to get a new one? I will wait out my waiting period since I do not have the money to pay for a new one. If the dentist can not put back on my old crown will my tooth be okay for another four months without one. What should I do?

As far as over the counter whiting strips what would you say is the best one. I am looking to whitening my teeth and though I would use the whiten strips that they have at Rite Aide. What would be the best ones to get. I want something that really works with minimal work for me.

What will a dentist do to fix a cracked tooth? I noticed a few days ago that I cracked my tooth on a bone. I can see a light line going down the side. So I made a dental appointment. I will be able to see the dentist in three days from now. I am eating really soft foods because I am afraid to brake off my tooth. What will the dentist do to fix it? Will I need to have a crown or can they just use bonding or something like that?

The dentist my wife went to seems over priced. We do not have dental insurance but can afford to have dental work done just do not want to be priced gouge. I would like for her to get a second opinion from a different dentist to make sure that the dental work needed is with in reason. I am worried that the dentist is making her have more dental work or at least more expensive dental work then necessary.

So I drink about two to three cans of soda a day give or take. I do not like drinking water or tea very much but my friends tell me that I am going to jack up my teeth if I do not stop drinking so much soda. I do not really believe this at all. I think it is a old wives tale to scare you from drinking soda.

Looking into getting a dental insurance plan for my family. We are not really seeing any one dentist so that is not a factor. Since we are not locked into one dental office which type of dental insurance would be best for my and my family. A dental HMO or a dental PPO. From what I can tell PPOs are more expensive monthly then HMOs. Does that mean that PPO give you better coverages? I am not so much worried about the monthly cost per say then just wanting to have which ever plan pays out the most and give me the most benefits.

I want to buy a cheap dental insurance plan. I just need something for my two cleaning a year and X-rays really. I never had any cavities or other issues with my teeth but I want to keep it that way. I do not want to have to pay 30 -40 a month for dental insurance. That does not make sense to me. Looking for a cheaper plan they will give me two free cleaning and X-rays.

I went to the local dentist a few days ago. It was the first time going to the dentist in two years. Since I did not have a regular dentist I just went to one out of the phone book. I was quoted about $500.00 worth of dental work that the dentist stated I needed to have done. It is not so much I doubt what he is saying I need. I know it has been some time since I last been to the dentist I figured I may need more dental work then just a cleaning.

When getting a second dental opinion how do you know which dentist is correct?
So here is the story. Last year I was told by the dentist at the time that I needed to have a filling done on one tooth and to have a deep cleaning. So wanting to make sure I got a second dental opinion from a different dentist. That dentist said that I do not need a filling or a deep cleaning. Okay so I when to him for just the regular cleaning he said I needed.

Four days ago I had a root canal done my general dentist. I never really cared for her but up until not she did a good enough job. With this root canal she did not get out all the infection or root in my molar. Now my tooth hurts like hell and is making my whole mouth hurt as well too. I tried getting her to look at it but she is putting me off for two days!! I call and leave message but she will not return my calls. The office staffing did but to only tell me that the soonest they can get me back in is in two days.

My dentist is just terrible!! I have a dental insurance plan were I have to stay with network dentist but the only one close to me is a big time jerk. I do not even know why he is in business when he seems to not like his job. He always has an attitude with me over any little thing. I can not complain about his dental work since I never had him really mess anything up. It is just is personality that sucks big time. If I could go to a different dentist I would. What can I do about his attitude he gives me?

I need to go to the dentist for my check up and cleaning. I will not say that I am scared about going to the dentist but dentist do make me nevus. I was hoping that I can just go and list to my music while the dentist cleans my teeth. Would that be okay or would they not like me doing that?

So my front tooth just cracked down the middle of the tooth. The crack is running up an down so my dentist told me I will need to have it pulled and then get a implant. Note I do not want a bridge since you have to mess up two more teeth just to get a bridge. Any way so to have the tooth pulled and to get the implant is going to cost me over $2000.00 then the dentist will put a crown on it which will cost at least another $800.00. Is it too late to get dental insurance and if not is it really worth buying dental insurance at this point?

I am really afraid of dentist and going to a dentist just for a minor thing like cleaning upset me. I need a dentist that can understand my fears and not make me feel bad about be an adult that is scared of going to the dentist. My last dentist was a good dentist but was a jerk to me and would make be feel bad. Are there dentist that deal with dental phobia and can do good work let be understanding to my fears. If so where do I fine them?

Making Informed Choices for Dental Insurance

I am in great need of a dental insurance plan that does not have a missing tooth clause in it. I have two missing teeth for over a year and just now got some money saved up to get some dental work done. However I have been finding out that the plans I come across will not cover for me to get a bridge since I had the missing teeth before getting the policy. This just plan sucks! What am I to do? Without some dental insurance I can not afford to pay completely out of pocket. So is there any dental plans that I can get that does not have this type of clause?

What I would like to know is if you can buy dental insurance for just one month? I just want to have insurance to get my cleaning and X-rays. With the cost of dental work every thing even cleaning are costly. However, I do not want to pay for dental insurance for a year just to have a cleaning I want to get it then dump it after I get what I want done. I know it may sound bad but why continue to pay for something if you only going to use it once? Can this be done or are you committed to a year?

My family is living on a very fixed income right now and money is very tight. That said I do not want my family oral health to suffer do to our lack of extra income. My job offers me good health thank goodness but no dental. Both my wife and I have not seen the dentist in over a year but my daughter is due for her six month check up and I do not want her to go without.
