Dental Opinions, Dental care, Will soda really mess up my teeth?
So I drink about two to three cans of soda a day give or take. I do not like drinking water or tea very much but my friends tell me that I am going to jack up my teeth if I do not stop drinking so much soda. I do not really believe this at all. I think it is a old wives tale to scare you from drinking soda.
I like soda and have good teeth. My dentist never told me that my teeth are being messed up because I am drinking soda. However, I like to be open minded enough to find out some facts first before I tell my friends they are full of it. Any information you can pass along to me would be great.

Soda over a period of time can wear down you tooth enamel. It acts like acid. That said one would have drink a lot of soda then not brush or rinse out their teeth.
If you are a soda drinker try doing the extra step when you are done drink a little water afterwords to rinse your mouth out a little.
It goes with out saying that you are brushing your teeth twice a day.

Listen the fact is any food or drinks can be bad for your teeth if you do not brush and flossing like you should. If you are brushing two to three times a day and flossing at least once a day having soda is not going to hurt your teeth.
