Dental care, Crown and bridges what is a fair cost.
What I would like to know is whether or not there is a fee or cost guild line set for dental services? I do not have dental insurance so I pay in full for my dental needs. However now I need to have more then just a cleaning. I either need to have a root canal and a crown done or the tooth pulled and a bridge put on.
Since dental insurance will only pay out to UCR is there a public fee chart that I can access to make sure I am not paying to much for my dental services. That way I will have an idea about reasonable or unreasonable charges. Otherwise how will I know if I am paying to much for my dental services.

Dentist can charge for whatever they want for their services. So dental services will very. Sure PPO dental insurance plan will pay base on UCR but that is what their company feels is the UCR it is not set in stone.
You can either get dental insurance which in the long and short term would save you money for your needed dental work. Or you can just shop about cost by calling the different local dentist in your area.

If you want to know the cost for your dental services without worry about UCR fees then choose a HMO dental insurance plan. HMO plan will normally lay out your cost for the dental services covered.
That way the dentist only charges you the cost for the dental services as listed on they schedule. This save you from ever having UCR fees like you can have on a PPO dental insurance plan.
