Dental Insurance, Dealing with a Max Limitation
I have been reviewing some dental insurance. Since I need to have a PPO dental plan in order to stay with my dentist I am not sure what would be the best max limitation to get. I can go for a 1000 max limitation and I do not think I would really ever need more then that.
However for 15.00 more a month I can get 2000 max limitation. My friend told me to get the highest max but I am just not sure. It could be a waiste of money if I never even use it. What is the best thing to get over pay for more coverages or pay less for coverage you feel will workout for you?

Well for $15.00 more a month I too would say it worth getting for the extra coverages. It is going to cost you $180.00 more for the year to get $1000.00 more in coverage.
Now I can understand that you may never need that much but if you do you will have it. It only takes one time when you need major dental work and the max out your coverages. Then you will need to either pay the difference of what goes over the $1000.00 max or wait until you plan rolls over the following year.

You know your teeth better then anyone. If all you ever do is have your office visits, X-rays and two cleaning a year and say a filing once in a blue moon, then you probably never need more then $1000 max limit.
If that is the case then why pay the extra money for a higher limit. Keep in mind all you need to max out $1000 is a root canal and a crown. You can see where it would be easy to exceed a $1000.00 max once you go beyond a cleaning or a filling.

It is up to you want you as to what you think is best for you and your wallet not your friends. My advise is just not only think about your current dental needs but what your future dental needs may be.
