Dental opinions, should I get dental insurance or go to a dental school for my tooth.
I am a part time student and a part time worker. I do not have current dental insurance and one of my silver filling fell out the other day. I am not sure what would be best for me. Should I get dental insurance to fix my filling that fell out?
Or should I just go straight to a dental school to have them fix my filling so I can have it done now instead of August first which is the soonest I could have a dental insurance start. I am just not sure if I should run the risk of waiting or not.

Well how about getting a dental discount plan. Discount plans start within the next business day of purchase. That way you can have your dental work done by a general dentist but get the discount dental saving right away without waiting for an effective date.

Dental schools are good but you can be left waiting. Many of them do not take appointments. So it is a first come first serve. Which can have you waiting all day without being seen.
Find out how your local dental school runs. I am also told that they may not do the dental services you need if not want they are looking to do. I would ask these type of questions before making a final choice.
