Second dental opinon on getting two crowns.
I am not sure what to do and would like some advise. I do not have dental insurance and although I have money I am far from being rich and wanting to spend it on on having dental care. I went to the dentist and was told that I should have a filling, a root canal and two crowns.
He wants to crown the tooth that needs a filling saying the filling is very large and it would protect the tooth better. All of this would cost me at little over $1500.00. This is the first time I have been to a dentist in over two years and the first time with this dentist. Should I be getting a second opinion? Or shopping out his rate. Not sure if that is high or not in regards to having dental work done.
