Dental care, Opinions on getting dental work done in Mexico
I am really thing of going to Mexico to get some much needed dental work done. Mexico is only less then two hours from where I live so it not a big deal going. I was wondering if anyone had any good or bad stories about having dental work done in Mexico.
Even with my dental insurance with all the dental work I need having it done in California is just to costly for me. However, I hear that if I go to Mexico for the dental work it would be half the cost and I would still get just as good dental care there as here. I would love some tips on what to do if I go to Mexico for my dental care. Things like how to pick a good dentist there, anything on the topic really would be good to hear.

I am not going to stay that you can not get good dental care for less in Mexico. I am sure that Mexico has good dentist just like we do.
My question to you would be do you know them? If I was going to go to another country for dental care I best know what dentist I am going to go to. Also do you speak Spanish? Or do you think the dentist will speak English?
Like with anything you want done just really look into it. Make sure the dentist is good and that you will be able to clearly understand the services that will be done. Because you will have no recourse if they mess up.

I get my dental care in Mexico but then I know my dentist there. I get excellent treatment at more the half the cost of getting my dental care in Texas.
However it is true that if you do not know where you are going you take your chances just like everything else. It would be best if you do speak Spanish or have someone with you that does.
Otherwise just forgot about it and take care of your dental needs in CA. It is true you get your dental work done in Mexico and you do not like oh well not like you can sue them or complain to anyone about it.

Maybe want you need to do before running to the border is to get a better dental insurance plan then what you have so that having dental care in California is more affordable for you.
You know you can shop out your dental insurance for better coverages and dental care services. It may be cheaper in Mexico but I do not see the risks being worth it.

If you know of a good dentist in Mexico and you know that you will get the dental care you need at a much cheaper cost to you then why not.
If you are just asking because you think it cheaper but have no referral to a dentist over there think again before just having dental work done.
You can get very good dental care done in Mexico just as much as you can have some very bad dental work done. Talk to people you know and trust and see if they know of dentist in Mexico they can refer you too. Other I agree forget about it. Doing random things like this is normally not a good idea.
