Dental Care, Water Picks are they better then flossing
I really do not like to floss. I alway do it too hard or somthing because my gums are sore afterwords. So I know I do not floss as much as I should. Although I have good teeth my dentist always seems to know that I am not flossing once a day. I seen water picks that say they are better then flossing and it seems much easier to use. What are your thoughts.

Keep up the flossing your gums are sore because you are not flossing daily. You do need to floss daily in order to get food bits and tartar off your teeth. Floss gets in between your teeth that plan brushing will not be able to do.
I do not think using a water pick replaces flossing so if that is what your intent is I would at least talk to a dentist about it to see what is suggested to you.

A water pick uses a stream of water that is aimed at your teeth and can help to remove food bits from your teeth. I may also help to reduce bleeding and gum disease.
However it is not intended to replace flossing it is just another tool for good oral health care.
Floss is used for cleaning tight spaces in between your teeth. You use it not only to remove food caught between teeth but you can use it to clean the sides of each tooth and scrap away tartar.

I use a water pick and I like it for the most part but I still have to floss. water picks do not really clean the sides of the tooth like flossing does.
However a water pick is good for gums and may help you reduce the bleeding. If you feel you are flossing to are just lighten up a little.
