How do you know what dental lab cost are for crowns.
I am looking for dental insurance that will help me pay for a root canal and a crown. But when I review the plans all the ones I have seen so far say plus lab cost but do not tell you want the lab cost are? So had to I figure in my total cost? Just wondering if that is something I can know ahead of time or not.

No not really you will know the cost of the crown and what is covered but plus lab cost would depend on the dental office and what their lab cost are.
You would have to call the dentist for that to get an idea of lab costs. You can do that on an HMO when choosing a dentist but calling before picking a dentist. That would just be another of the questions you may like to ask.
If you have a PPO you can also ask the dentist you want to go to what the lab fees are before getting dental work done.
