I have this abscessed tooth infection going on right now in the back of my mouth that is hurting me some what and that I know I need to see a dentist ASAP but I worry I do not have the money to really go to the dentist.

I am not poor I just do not have a lot of cash on hand.  I do not get dental benefits from my job so I get no help there.  I see dental insurance plans I could get but they have long waiting periods any way which is why I do not buy them in the first place.  Any advise please.
