Dental Fears in New York, Need to see a dentist.
I am 24 and I sorry to admit to anyone that I have big time dental fears. I do my best to really take good care of my teeth because I do not like seeing a dentist. I have not see a dentist in over two years and I know I need to see one but do not know how to address my fears.
I really can not tell you why it is that I have these fears. I only know that every time I go I get upset and sick to my stomach even just to have your basic dental care. I do not know what I would do if I was told I needed any more then a cleaning.

- Dentist and needles I am not real clear on the procedure you are having. However the dentist uses the needles to numb the area in which he/she will be working on so as to not hurt you. The pain you may have with the needle should be minor much like a prick it is fast and over with. [...]...

Well try to think of things this way going in for basic dental care is not a big deal and there is no pain just getting a dental checkup, cleaning and X-rays.
Let your teeth health go because of your fear and there may be a day when you will still need to go to the dentist only now for major dental insurance that could have be avoided.
I know it hard sometimes to look at the bigger picture when you have fears. But if you just let the dental office and dentist know about your fear before your appointment they will take it a little easier with you and help you though your fears.

My son who is 30 still does not like going to the dentist due to dental fears. Many adults have fears of going to the dentist but remember they are there to help you and to make sure you have healthy teeth and gums.
My son brings his IPod and he covers is eyes with a mask this helps him while the dentist is doing the cleaning or whatever and he can relax better without all the stress of worrying about his fears.
