Dental Care, Broken tooth after having a root canal.
Dental Care, Broken tooth after having a root canal. I had a root canal done about six months ago. The dentist put on a temporally crown. I was to go back for a permanent crown two week latter but the fact was the root canal cost me all the money I had. About two months after having the root canal done the temporally crown came off. I tried putting it back but that did not work.
Still not have any money to go back in for the crown I did nothing. I know that was not the best choice but at the time I though I could wait it out until I saved money. However I believe now I may have broken part of the tooth that had the root canal done. I do not know what to do at this point. I tried looking for dental insurance like my friend suggested to me but I am finding out now everything about this tooth would not be covered since I started a dental job and never finished it. Please any advise before things get even worse.

I can understand about not having money for dental services but normally when you have dentist that is going to put on a crown in two week that means you may have already pay a part of the crown cost.
Did you call the dentist to find that out? It may be a little late now but that dental office may still have the crown that they were going to put on. If so find out how much it would cost.
If you did brake the tooth you may have further dental issues that may wind up costing you more had you gotten the crown put on. I know that would be hind sight but I do not understand why you did not at least go back to the dentist for them to put the temp crown back on.
You may be out of lucky when it comes to having insurance cover for this issue. However getting a dental insurance plan will save you money for your future dental needs so that hopefully this type of thing does not happen again

At this point getting a dental discount plan would be a good option in order to help save you some money. A dental discount plan would provide you with discounted saving off all your dental needs.
Unlike dental insurance preexisting dental services is not an issue and you will still be able to save money. I agree that there was a lot you could have done to try and avoid this problem but it is too late to address that now. Do what you can do to at least save some money.
In the future try to find a dentist that will also work some form of payment plan option with you so that you do not have to delay needed dental care.
