I am 67 and on a really fixed income. I do not have a lot of extra money but with that said I need to have some dental care. Right now I have no dental care other then extractions which I do not need to have teeth pulled. What can I do to help lower my dental care cost either by getting dental insurance or by going a low cost dentist. I am not good with being on line so I can really use some help.

First let me say I know I do not have gingivitis. I take really good care of my teeth by brushing twice a day, flossing daily and I use a oral mouthwash rinse every day after brushing my teeth.
However even though my gums are not swollen and they are a healthy pink color they still hurt when I brush and will get redder for a little time afterwords. Could I be having a problem with my toothbrush? Can a toothbrush irritate your gums?

I live in NY were there seems to be quite a few dental discount plans. I am wanted to get a dental savings plan since going to the dentist right now with nothing is costly and I can not afford the high cost of having a dental insurance plan right now.

My mom is 66 and needs to have some dental care that is not too costly. She does not have all her teeth and I would like for her to be fitted for dentures or partials. I am thinking she may need some more teeth pulled out too.

My question is that I was just told that my three year old son has two big cavities in his back top molars. Our family dentist is advising that I go to a Pediatric
dentist that can give him general anesthesia to have the fillings done. He is advising this due to my son age.

Do not let another year go by without seeing a dentist. Many people do not see a dentist even once a year, let alone twice a year as advised by the ADA. (American Dental Association) In many cases it is because they say they do not get dental benefits offer though their job.

“All I want for Christmas are my two front teeth” may be a cute Christmas song about losing baby teeth. However, if you are an adult who’s had missing teeth or are currently dealing with missing teeth you know there is nothing cute about it.

I am 71 and I have been noticing that my teeth seem to be getting darker along my gum line. It not like this happen over night but I may just be paying more attention to it. I notice in a photo take of me not too long ago that my teeth seem so dark so I think that way I am starting to see my teeth color. Is this do to age? I see a dentist once a year since that all I can really afford to see one. My dentist is costly and seems to go up in cost every year I see him. Guess I am looking for advise on why my teeth may be getting darker.

For as long as I can remember I have always had sensitive teeth to hot and cold items. I also seem to get cavities fairly easily and even though I brush three times a day and floss daily I will still get a small cavities at least one every other year. This does not seem bad but to me it get me upset. I wondering if my sensitive teeth have anything to do with why I get cavities.

Lately I notice that when I chew or open my mouth to wide (like when I am yawing) I feel a popping or cracking in my jaw. I do not know if I just now noticing it or if this is something new. Either way if can not be too good right?

I would like to get a dental insurance plan that does not locks me into one dental office. If I do not like the dentist I am seeing or if I just want to get a second dental opinion I want to be able to do that and still have coverages under my plan. I do not mind staying with in a network of provider as long as there are more then one provider and that I am able to change whenever I want to not when the company tells me it is okay.

She is ten I one do not see the point and two can not under stand how she can go from not having any cavities in six months to a large cavity that needs to have a root canal done. I have a six year old that does brush some what but not very good. I aways have to watch over her to make sure she is not just playing around in the bathroom. I think she should be old enough to start flossing her teeth now on her own. As it is I do that for her before she goes to bed each night. Is there any easy way to get your child to brush and floss on their own that makes it easy for them? Help tips would be nice

I really do not like to floss. I alway do it too hard or somthing because my gums are sore afterwords. So I know I do not floss as much as I should. Although I have good teeth my dentist always seems to know that I am not flossing once a day. I seen water picks that say they are better then flossing and it seems much easier to use. What are your thoughts.

This may seem an odd question. However I am not just asking just to. I know that because of tooth decay you can get cavities and sometimes have to have root canal and teeth pull on so on. I know you need to brush and floss but I a sure most people do brush and floss daily but still gets tooth dacay. So that is why I ask what is it and how to you stop it 100% so you do not have to have all that dental treatment done.
