I need a root canal in one of my top molars.  I been having on and off pain now for the last few days.  What are my options in California if I do not have any dental insurance?  I have a job but it is only part time so I do not make a lot of extra money for dental cost.   Need help please advise.

help with a tooth infection?

Help  I have an infected tooth and it is very sensitive to heat.  It hurts when I eat too.  How long until it just dies so I do not have to have this pain anymore?  I know that I should get a root canal or have it pull it but I do not have dental insurance.  Also what can I take for the pain until it stops?   Please I really hurt and Advile is not helping much at all.

My dentist told me I either need 4 root canal or4 extractions

I am not sure what to do.  I have no pain and only went in for a cleaning since it as been about a year since the last time I had one.  The dentist said that I have four bad teeth and I would either need to pull them or have root canal in them in order to save the teeth.

Root canal vs getting the tooth pulled

I really do not want to pull the tooth but I am in a lot of pain.  I have a back molar that was decaying. I bough dental insurance six months ago but I still have three months to wait for a root canal or an extraction.  The thing is having an extraction is cheaper then the root canal and I do not think I can put up with the pain for another three months.   Please advise what should I do to save my tooth and not pay so much money?

My son has a toothache

I just do not know what to do.  My son was complaing that he had a toothache.  So I took him to see his dentist that wants to do two root canals.  Not having dental insurance I started to shop out cost.  For the two root cancal since he has to be under a general anesthesia I am getting prices ranging from 8000  – 10000.  This is way to costly for me.  I do not want my son to be in pain but I just do not have that kind of money either.   Any advise on what I can do?

What really is a Root Canal?

My mom was told she needs a root canal done in one of her molars.  She does not speak English very well.  So she did not ask what a root canal was.  She has an appointment for the root canal on Friday but would really like to know what is a root canal? I think I know what it is but am not 100% sure can some one tell me?

Student dentist  worry

I am going to a dental school of have my teeth worked on.  I do not have dental Insurance and felt that going to a school was more affordable for me.  I normally works out well and I do not have any issues.  However now I got this one student that needs to do a two root canals and a filling.

What should I do get a root canal or an extraction

Okay here is my problem I have a bad tooth in the back of my mouth.  I can either have a root canal and a crown  done at around $1500.00, or just have it pulled for about $400.00.  I do not have any dental insurance so all of the cost would be coming out of my pocket.  As you can guess money is the main issue here.  I do not have a lot of extra money and so the difference does matter to me.

Three rotten teeth needs to be  pulled by the dentist

I have three rotten teeth that I know need to be pulled however I am also  sure they are infected too.  I have heard that you can not have a root canal if your tooth is infected.  But what if you are going to have them pulled.  Do you still need to clear the infection up first?  I know I need this taken care of my breath is really bad because of my infected teeth.  I have a dental appointment coming up in a little over a week.  Will the dentist need to put me on  antibiotics first before taking care of my teeth?
